My friend Cassie got a Kindle, and another friend got a Kobo.  I decided that I needed one too, and I went with Kindle, the full hog—Wi-Fi and 3g—which is kind of funny because I live in a rural area with no cellphone coverage.

I love reading on my Kindle, and I have found that I read more now than I did before.  While I had one book beside the bed, I can have four books on the go in my kindle, without having to move!

I love to read, and I also love to share my love of books.  I also review books for the local library over at Tapawera Book Reviews.  Since joining the eBook revolution, the genre I read has expanded to include just about anything that looks interesting.

Well, I was going to say something about what I wanted for my 30th birthday, but it’s been and gone, and I still don’t know what I want.

Stephen King once said, “If you don’t have time to read, you don’t have the time (or the tools) to write. Simple as that.”  So with reading and reviewing books with a critic’s eye, I would like to think that I am developing more and more tools for my Writer’s Toolbox, as well as having endless enjoyment while devouring new books.

I have been critiquing and reviewing writer’s draft manuscripts for years, and thought that since I read so much published literature as well, then it would only be prudent for me to analyse that as well. And why analyse that, if I’m not going to tell anyone about it? So, instead of just reviewing and recommending books through word of mouth, here I am… shouting it out all over the internet, recommending to all other readers around the world.
